THE ANIMAL PAGE ... Explore, Discover, Enjoy

When we moved into Fair Oaks Ranch it was still distant from San Antonio and there was a plethora of wildlife for us to experience. Sadly, the growth along IH 10 has displaced much of the 'wilderness' and supplanted houses with lawns and all manner of non-natural habitat. As a result, my sightings of animal life has become limited to those few species that can survive around humans and their ideas of country living.

This page displays those animals I have been fortunate to observe on my property over the years. Back 'then' I had the priviledge of seeing many new species. Recently, there are far fewer new sightings. Enjoy what I was able to witness and hope for a slow-down in the destruction of habitat.
